Accompagnement des personnes requérantes d’asile et réfugiées en Suisse: analyse d’un dispositif cantonal d’intégration

Abstract

Cet article étudie l’impact d’un dispositif cantonal suisse d’accompagnement des personnes requérantes d’asiles et réfugiées sur leur intégration. Il interroge le travail des professionnel·le·s de ces dispositifs et analyse les trajectoires d’intégration des personnes concernées. Les professionnel·le·s sont en tension entre une logique gestionnaire de l’asile et les besoins réels des personnes accompagnées. Celles-ci atteignent partiellement leurs objectifs d’intégration, notamment en mobilisant des ressources non gouvernementales. Plusieurs trajectoires-types d’intégration ont été dégagées.

Support for Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Switzerland: Analysis of a Cantonal Integration Program

This paper examines the impact of a cantonal Swiss support system for asylum seekers and refugees on their integration. It examines the work of the professionals involved in this system and analyzes the integration trajectories of asylum seekers and refugees. Professionals are experiencing tension between the administrative logic of asylum and the real needs of the people they support. The latter partially achieve their integration objectives, sometimes by mobilizing non-governmental resources. Several typical integration trajectories have been identified.
