Political alternative right-wing parties of Germany, Austria and Switzerland

“The European integration has brought many advantages to the European society. However, it
also has negative aspects, namely high level of new coming immigrants, weakening of the social
functions of the state, an increase in unemployment, the instability of the banking system, the
need to support the weak links of the Eurozone and others. Providing its own solutions to the
emerging challenges, the right-wing populist parties of the “political alternative” in the German-
speaking space, such as Alternative for Germany, Freedom party of Austria and Swiss People’s
party have become in more demand among the voters. All these parties have many points of
convergence, alongside with its own distinguishing features. Overall, the development and
electoral success of the listed above three parties during the last two decades have become an
object of our research.“
