Abstract:

“The very term ‘mobility’, in this article, will be interpreted twofold. Firstly, as ‘migration’ against the refugee background and the protection status S in Switzerland. Secondly, as a ‘relocation for professional training’ with support of the SAR network and the SNSF at the University of Teacher Education Lucerne. In my paper, I will look into the phenomenon of mobility and briefly view the approaches to studying mobility. Then, I will outline basic provisions on educational mobility as provided by Erasmus+ in the European context, those prescribed by Ukrainian legislation and compare them with the ones offered by the Movetia agency in Switzerland. I argue that comparison of different mobility schemes provides space for reflection on the possible benefits and opportunities for different stakeholders as well as opens prospects for learning from ‘good practices’ for the parties involved. After that, I will describe the model of mobility for scholars from Ukraine as supported by the SAR network and the SNSF in 2022. Finally, I will make an attempt to assess my mobility experiences briefly following the framework of mobility dimensions offered by Knoch, Dupouey & Lafraya (2019). I will conclude the paper with some tentative conclusions and perspectives for further research.”
