Une des t\u00e2ches auxquelles se voit confront\u00e9 le migrant, c&#8217;est alors de donner du sens \u00e0 ses nouvelles exp\u00e9riences quotidiennes. Ce travail a une composante discursive marqu\u00e9e : c&#8217;est en parlant de lui et de sa situation que le sujet construit de nouveaux sch\u00e9mas interpr\u00e9tatifs. Cette d\u00e9marche est ici illustr\u00e9e et comment\u00e9e au moyen de nombreux exemples.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Immigration entails \u00ab semiotic losses \u00bb: the mental schemes which the subject could use to interpret his social environment are not any more always, or not entirely, applicable. One of the tasks the immigrant must undertake is to give sense to his new day-by-day experience. This task has a strong discursive aspect: it is by speaking about himself and his own situation that the subject builds up new interpretative schemes.
