Les r\u00e9cits mettent cependant en lumi\u00e8re le lien complexe entre la ville et sa r\u00e9alit\u00e9 territoriale, qui se modifie en fonction de la fronti\u00e8re politique, d\u00e9pend de la dynamique socio-\u00e9conomique et des courants migratoires, et qui s\u2019entretient par les relations familiales. Ils constatent finalement que ce lien trouble les barri\u00e8res confessionnelles et entra\u00eene des cons\u00e9quences significatives sur le plan des croyances. Vers la fin de l\u2019\u00e9poque confessionnelle, les repr\u00e9sentations pol\u00e9miques de la migration religieuse et de la conversion servent ainsi un discours du retournement des apparences, qui met en question le lien \u00e9tabli entre lieux institutionnels et \u00ab\u00a0bon choix\u00a0\u00bb religieux.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Travellers\u2019 narratives offer a confessional reading of Geneva\u2019s customs and of its international reputation as a city of religious refuge. However, these documents highlight the complex link between the city and its territorial reality, a relationship which changes depending on political boundaries, on socio-economic dynamics and on migration flows, and which is woven by family relationships. They eventually state that this link ends up blurring confessional boundaries and leads to significant consequences in terms of beliefs.
