Selbst in den Vereinigten Staaten, dem klassischen Ein- wanderungsland, ist der Anteil an Immigranten niedriger. Trotz dieser Tatsache gelang es der Schweiz lange Zeit, die Zusammenh\u00e4nge zwischen dem Arbeitsmarkt und dem Migrationsph\u00e4nomen teilweise zu ignorieren &#8211; und zwar sowohl auf wis- senschaftlicher als auch auf politischer Ebene, wobei zweiteres eine Folge des ersteren ist.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With 25% of its population born abroad, Switzerland has always been one of the OECD countries in which the migratory phenomenon is the most pronounced. Even the United States, country of immigration <em>par excellence<\/em>, has a lower proportion of immigrants.
