Furthermore, in this area, compared <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">with German as a foreign or second language, only a small amount of teaching ma<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">terials can be found. In this article, Alexis Feldmeier\u2019s<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Alpha-Box<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">will be presented <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and its benefits for adult literacy teaching discussed. The<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Alpha-Box<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">is characterized <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">by a learner-centered approach and self-regulated learning \u2013 both aspects which <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">are central in further language courses as well as for a respectful learning atmos<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">phere for adults.
