“In the European contemporary context of migratory flows\u2019 increase, the issue of lan<\/span>guages teaching-learning is very sensitive, especially when it comes to individuals <\/span>who do not hold a residence permit. For some States, teaching funding and structur<\/span>al support is managed in a tension between potential subsequent employment inte<\/span>gration and removal of complainants. For asylum seekers, access to language cannot <\/span>take place apart from social practices, and therefore of the development of local<\/span>
social ties. Volunteers who work within associations at sustaining the local language <\/span>learning represent a necessarily incomplete attempt to resolve this issue. Based on <\/span>an ethnographical research, this article explores the space of teaching-learning as a <\/span>language socialisation and what is at stake for the various actors involved.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“L\u2019appropriation de la langue d\u2019un nouveau <\/span>lieu de vie, quelle que soit la dur\u00e9e du <\/span>s\u00e9jour, d\u00e9pend des modes de contact de <\/span>la personne avec cette langue, autrement <\/span>dit de ses pratiques sociales (Jeanneret, <\/span>2010). Dans le cas des requ\u00e9rants d\u2019asile, <\/span>trois espaces principaux de socialisation <\/span>structurent ce contact, tant\u00f4t freinant <\/span>et tant\u00f4t facilitant l\u2019appropriation lan<\/span>gagi\u00e8re: 1) l\u2019\u00c9tat \u2013 \u00e0 savoir le Secr\u00e9ta<\/span>riat d\u2019\u00c9tat aux Migrations (SEM) pour la <\/span>proc\u00e9dure, ainsi que les \u00e9tablissements <\/span>cantonaux d\u2019accueil des migrants pour <\/span>la prise en charge mat\u00e9rielle \u2013, 2) les <\/span>associations et groupes d\u2019entraide actifs <\/span>au sein des communes, et enfin 3) le mi<\/span>crocosme des foyers d\u2019accueil, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire <\/span>le groupe constitu\u00e9 par les requ\u00e9rants <\/span>d\u2019asile eux-m\u00eames.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n
