“This article addresses the phenomenon of Swiss immigration to the National Territory of Misiones, Argentina, between 1935 and 1939. From an analysis based on different migration theories, we identify the structural factors that led to the mobility of people of that origin and the influence of social networks as a strategic value in the consolidation of links between migrants in the process of adapting to the new environment. The analysis of qualitative sources will reveal the reasons that led them to make the decision to emigrate, the prevailing immigration policies at every moment, and the need to adapt to an entirely new environment.”<\/div>\n

“El presente art\u00edculo aborda el fen\u00f3meno de la inmigraci\u00f3n suiza hacia el Territorio Nacional de Misiones, Argentina, entre 1935 y 1939. A partir de un an\u00e1lisis basado en distintas teor\u00edas migratorias, identificamos los factores estructurales que propiciaron la movilidad de personas de ese origen y la influencia de las redes sociales como valor estrat\u00e9gico en la consolidaci\u00f3n de v\u00ednculos entablados entre los migrantes en el proceso de adaptaci\u00f3n al nuevo entorno. El an\u00e1lisis de fuentes cualitativas permitir\u00e1 develar los motivos que los llevaron a tomar la decisi\u00f3n de emigrar, las pol\u00edticas migratorias imperantes en cada momento, y la necesidad de adaptarse a un entorno totalmente nuevo.”<\/div>\n
