Abstract: <\/strong><\/p>\n

“A l\u2019heure actuelle, de nombreux individus arrivent en Europe afin de demander l\u2019asile et ces d\u00e9placements peuvent \u00eatre \u00e0 l\u2019origine de tensions intergroupes. La Suisse n\u2019\u00e9tant pas exempte de ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne, cette recherche avait pour objectif d\u2019investiguer les attitudes et comportements envers les requ\u00e9rant\u009ee\u009es d\u2019asile en Suisse romande. En utilisant des donn\u00e9es r\u00e9colt\u00e9es en 2019 (N = 183), cette \u00e9tude a questionn\u00e9 l\u2019effet de la d\u00e9shumanisation et des attitudes sur le lien entre la menace per\u00e7ue (manipul\u00e9e exp\u00e9rimentalement \u00e0 travers un article de journal fictif) et les comportements envers les requ\u00e9rant\u009ee\u009es d\u2019asile. En outre, le r\u00f4le des normes sociales a \u00e9t\u00e9 investigu\u00e9 afin de savoir si celles-ci avaient une influence sur ces variables. Les r\u00e9sultats ont montr\u00e9 que la d\u00e9shumanisation pouvait en partie expliquer le lien entre la menace per\u00e7ue et les attitudes, ainsi qu\u2019entre la menace et les comportements. Les attitudes avaient \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le explicatif sur ce lien. Finalement, le climat normatif n\u2019a montr\u00e9 aucune influence sur les attitudes et la d\u00e9shumanisation.”<\/p>\n

“Currently, many individuals arrive to Europe seeking asylum and these movements can be at the origin of intergroup tensions. As Switzerland is not exempt from this phenomenon, this research aimed to investigate attitudes and behavior towards asylum seekers in French-speaking Switzerland. Using data collected in 2019 (N = 183), this study examined the effect of dehumanization and attitudes on the relationship between perceived threat (experimentally manipulated through a fictive newspaper article) and behavior towards asylum seekers. In addition, the role of social norms has been investigated to see if they had an influence on those variables. The results showed that dehumanization could partially explain the relationship between perceived threat and attitudes, and the one between threat and behavior. Attitudes could as well explain this relationship. Finally, normative climate showed no effect on attitude and dehumanization.”<\/p>\n
