What are the main differences and their causes? Are there any common elements, any ‘idealistic social aspects’ (Baczko 1984) about immigration that exist in both categories? Considering radio and television simultaneously allow more efficient analysis of the specific aspects of each type of media in their role as public service providers for minority populations. The chapter does not have the objective to reach wide-ranging, generalised conclusions, but instead intends to be an explorative study to verify if expanding analysis of immigration in a comprehensive way, including forms of immigration and emigration to and from one country for a given period, opens new perspectives on the representation of the phenomenon.”

Author(s) : Nelly Valsangiacomo Source : https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-94247-6_6 Abstract:

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

167
582,360,32,57,137,9,121,87,17,115,204
post-2834","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-ethnicity-languages-religion-arts","tag-582","tag-audiovisual-media","tag-book-chapter","tag-comparative-analysis","tag-emigration","tag-english-language","tag-ethnic-minorities","tag-history","tag-immigrants","tag-mass-media","tag-representation
["GET
