After an introduction delineating the contours of populist supply, the demand side is addressed in the next chapters. In the main, we investigate whether populist voting is due to economic factors (such as perceived consequences of globalization and the economic crisis), to political values, and to interpersonal and political trust. To this aim, the studies collected in this working paper focus on three European countries (Switzerland, Netherlands, and Poland) and on data from the European Social Survey (2012‒2015).”

Keywords: Populism ‒ Vote – Europe ‒ Globalization ‒ Values ‒ Political trust ‒ Retrospective voting

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

12
285,37,57,52,301,228,624,123,11,94,95,254,279,181,96,309
post-2753","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-politics","tag-285","tag-attitudes-towards-migrants","tag-comparative-analysis","tag-french-language","tag-globalization","tag-netherlands","tag-poland","tag-political-participation","tag-political-parties","tag-political-system","tag-populism","tag-right-wing-radicalism","tag-socioeconomic-factors","tag-survey","tag-voting-behaviour","tag-working-paper
["GET
