“Ce Cahier s\u2019interroge sur le succ\u00e8s \u00e9lectoral des partis populistes en Europe et d\u00e9veloppe une approche comparative de ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne au niveau individuel, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire du point de vue des \u00e9lecteurs. Apr\u00e8s une introduction tra\u00e7ant les contours de l\u2019offre populiste, les chapitres suivants se penchent sur la demande des partis populistes. En substance, trois types d\u2019explication du vote populiste sont examin\u00e9es : les variables \u00e9conomiques (telles que les cons\u00e9quences per\u00e7ues de la mondialisation et de la crise \u00e9conomique), les valeurs politiques, et la confiance que les \u00e9lecteurs accordent aux autres individus (confiance interpersonnelle) et aux institutions politiques. Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces questions, les \u00e9tudes rassembl\u00e9es dans ce cahier se focalisent principalement sur trois pays europ\u00e9ens (Suisse, Pays-Bas et Pologne) et analysent les donn\u00e9es issues du European Social Survey (2012\u20122015).”<\/section>\n

“This Working Paper deals with the electoral success of populist parties in Europe and pro-poses a comparative approach to this phenomenon at the individual level of voters. After an introduction delineating the contours of populist supply, the demand side is addressed in the next chapters. In the main, we investigate whether populist voting is due to economic factors (such as perceived consequences of globalization and the economic crisis), to political values, and to interpersonal and political trust. To this aim, the studies collected in this working paper focus on three European countries (Switzerland, Netherlands, and Poland) and on data from the European Social Survey (2012\u20122015).” <\/section>\n
