Elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ues comme des organisations au Service de l&#8217;ordre religieux des missionnaires qui les dirigeaient ou alors des pr\u00eatres s\u00e9culiers envoy\u00e9s par les dioc\u00e8ses. Ces cur\u00e9s devaient se r\u00e9f\u00e9rer \u00e0 des organismes sp\u00e9cifiques du Vatican, charg\u00e9s du contr\u00f4le des structures eccl\u00e9siastiques de l&#8217;\u00e9migration. Les MCI \u00e9taient donc dirig\u00e9es par des pr\u00eatres, des religieuses et des religieux venus d&#8217;Italie dans le but sp\u00e9cifique de fonder des centres paroissiaux italiens \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9tranger.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Italian Catholic missions were decisively important among Italian immigrant organizations in Switzerland, yet they remain an under-researched area. The article<br \/>\ndocuments the complexity of these associations, both in terms of their configuration<br \/>\nand the people and structures that were involved in their activities. In the course of their history, they became an intermediate type of Organization, something between an association and a parish. On the one hand, secular priests and nuns organized top-down everything that strictly related to liturgy and pastoral care.
