The greater availability of cross-border workers increased their employment but also wages and possibly employment of highly educated native workers although the new cross-border workers were also highly educated. The reason is a simultaneous increase in labor demand in skill-intensive firms: the reform increased the size, productivity, innovation performance of some incumbent firms, attracted new firms, and created opportunities for natives to pursue managerial jobs.»

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

16
285,287,520,15,240,9,446,107,55,19,36,110,383,309
post-2549","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-economics","tag-285","tag-commuters","tag-cross-border-workers","tag-economic-impact","tag-employment","tag-english-language","tag-enterprises","tag-freedom-of-movement","tag-high-skilled-immigrants","tag-labour-market","tag-migration-policy","tag-mobility","tag-wages","tag-working-paper
["GET
