Abstract: <\/strong><\/p>\n

The paper analyses the role of economic and cultural threat in exploring support<\/div>\n
for immigration control in Switzerland. A factorial survey experiment enables us to look into different migrant characteristics. Results show more support for immigration control for Eastern Europeans and low-skilled migrants. However, German migrants do not gain acceptance due to being highly skilled, and their willingness to adapt culturally is crucial for native Swiss with a high level of national pride.<\/div>\n

Der Artikel besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit der Bedeutung \u00f6konomischer und kultureller<\/div>\n
Bedrohung f\u00fcr die Forderung nach Einwanderungskontrolle in der Schweiz. Anhand eines faktoriellen Surveyexperiments analysieren wir die Bedeutung unterschiedlicher Merkmale von Einwanderern. Zuzugsbegrenzungen werden v.<\/div>\n
a. f\u00fcr Osteurop\u00e4er und gering qualifizierte Einwanderer gefordert. Deutsche profitieren aber nicht von h\u00f6herer Bildung, zudem spielt bei ihnen die Bereitschaft zur kulturellen Anpassung eine entscheidende Rolle.<\/div>\n

Notre sondage exp\u00e9rimental factoriel d\u00e9montre que la volont\u00e9 de r\u00e9guler l\u2019immigration est particuli\u00e8rement forte \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des migrants de l\u2019Europe de l\u2019Est et des les migrants avec un niveau de qualification bas. Le haut niveau de qualification des migrants allemands ne joue toutefois pas en faveur de leur acceptation et leur volont\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la culture suisse est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme cruciale.<\/div>\n
