Avec environ 28,000 demandes d’asile par an en moyenne au cours des dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la Suisse se situe parmi, les pays occidentaux connaissant la plus forte immigration de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. L’article propos\u00e9 ici tente de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 deux questions: quel est le r\u00f4le jou\u00e9 par les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s dans l’\u00e9conomie suisse? Quels sont les facteurs d\u00e9terminant leur insertion sur le march\u00e9 du travail? L’article se base d’une part sur l’analyse multivari\u00e9e d’une base de donn\u00e9es individuelles concernant plus de 110,000 personnes relevant de l’asile en Suisse, d’autre part sur des entretiens approfondis et 174 questionnaires aupr\u00e8s de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et d’employeurs.<\/p>\n

With about 28,000 asylum requests a year since 1990, Switzerland is one of the western countries with the highest inflow of refugees. The aim of this article is to answer two questions: What is the role of refugees in the Swiss economy? and what are the factors influencing their incorporation into the labour market? The research is based on the multivariate analysis of an individual database of 110,000 asylum seekers and refugees, in-depth interviews and 174 questionnaires to refugees and employers.<\/p>\n
