Based on a sociology of legitimation, the model is conceptualised as a fragile order with a need for legitimation, and expectations towards its regulation are examined. While claims to justice serve as principles of criticism, austerity-based claims legitimise the arrangement. The need for adjustment is dealt with in a way that the model remains possible. Regulation remains fragmented and the debate about costs overshadows the question of how to (re-)organise long-term care.”

Keywords: Care work; live-in care; regulation; legitimation; migration

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

16
654,7,659,668,142,73,157,104,66,465,279,245,383,201,158
post-17950","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-economics","tag-654","tag-article","tag-care-workers","tag-caregivers","tag-elderly","tag-german-language","tag-health-care","tag-living-conditions","tag-migration","tag-regularisation","tag-socioeconomic-factors","tag-temporary-migration","tag-wages","tag-women","tag-working-conditions
["GET
