Cette communication pr\u00e9sente des hypoth\u00e8ses de travail qui permettraient d’interpr\u00e9ter le sens des profonds changements du r\u00e9seau associatif italien en Suisse. En effet, dans les derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la stabilisation de la main-d’\u0153uvre italienne a \u00e9t\u00e9 accompagn\u00e9e par la prolif\u00e9ration d’associations regroupant les immigr\u00e9s en fonction de leurs origines r\u00e9gionales. On observe simultan\u00e9ment un affaiblissement du r\u00e9seau associatif \u00e0 finalit\u00e9 politique qui avait constitu\u00e9 la composante majeure de l’associationnisme italien – en termes de capacit\u00e9 propositive, de vitalit\u00e9 de la vie associative et des renouvellement de ses membres.
\nCette \u00e9volution est ici mise en relation avec la relative inefficacit\u00e9 des strat\u00e9gies de confrontation avec le pays d’emploi \u00e9labor\u00e9es par les associations politiques ainsi que – et surtout – avec les changements dans la perception de leur identit\u00e9 par les migrants eux-m\u00eames. Ce deuxi\u00e8me facteur est analys\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois en termes sociaux et en termes ethniques. Des nouvelles pond\u00e9rations s’annoncent ainsi comme p\u00f4les d’agr\u00e9gation possibles des communaut\u00e9s italiennes immigr\u00e9es en Suisse. La deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration jouera un r\u00f4le majeur dans l’\u00e9ventuelle cristallisation des tendances \u00e9mergentes.<\/div>\n

This paper presents some hypotheses which should enable the interpretation of the changings in the Italian associative network in Switzerland. As a matter of fact, the stabilization of the Italian working population in the last years has brought about the setting up of several associations, gathering migrants according to their regional origins. At the same time, we may note a weakening of the network of political associations – which used to be a major component of the Italian associative network – as far as it goes for proposal capacity, vitality of the associative life and renewing of membership. We try to explain such an evolution – by the relative ineffectiveness of the confrontation with the host country set up by the political associations, – as well as by the changes in the perception of their own identity by the migrants themselves. We analyse this second point both in social and ethnic terms. New aggregation poles might thus emerge among a plurality of Italian immigrants ‘ communities.
