La Suisse et particuli\u00e8rement le canton de Gen\u00e8ve sont particuli\u00e8rement concern\u00e9s par cette probl\u00e9matique : plus de 30% de la population r\u00e9sidente suisse est directement issue de la migration (Bader et Fibbi, 2012), qu&#8217;il s&#8217;agisse de migrants de premi\u00e8re ou de deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, et Gen\u00e8ve compte 41% de r\u00e9sidents de nationalit\u00e9 \u00e9trang\u00e8re (OCSTAT, 2015). Dans ce contexte, la question de l&#8217;int\u00e9gration dans le syst\u00e8me de formation des jeunes allophones nouvellement arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve est un enjeu de premi\u00e8re importance, et ceci depuis longtemps d\u00e9j\u00e0, les premi\u00e8res mesures sp\u00e9cifiquement d\u00e9di\u00e9es aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves migrants (cours de fran\u00e7ais) existant depuis 1962 (Schwob, 2011). C\u2019est, entre autres, pourquoi le d\u00e9partement de l&#8217;instruction publique, de la culture et du sport (DIP) a mandat\u00e9 le SRED pour r\u00e9aliser une analyse des dispositifs d&#8217;accueil et d&#8217;int\u00e9gration des \u00e9l\u00e8ves primo-arrivants allophones, afin de mieux conna\u00eetre les caract\u00e9ristiques de ces \u00e9l\u00e8ves et leurs conditions d&#8217;int\u00e9gration dans le syst\u00e8me de formation genevois, dans un contexte de r\u00e9organisation et d&#8217;harmonisation des pratiques des diff\u00e9rents ordres d&#8217;enseignement dans l&#8217;accueil des jeunes migrants (Secr\u00e9tariat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, 2011).
