En Suisse, ce clich\u00e9 n\u00e9gatif est aujourd\u2019hui encore dominant, en d\u00e9pit de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience acquise en mati\u00e8re d\u2019int\u00e9gration des premi\u00e8res vagues migratoires. Parmi les raisons de cette vision unidimensionnelle figure la pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rance, jusqu\u2019il y a une quinzaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es en Suisse, d\u2019une immigration faiblement qualifi\u00e9e sur le plan scolaire. Le souci de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 a \u00e9galement amen\u00e9 divers auteurs \u00e0 relever, voire d\u00e9noncer, les \u00e9carts de r\u00e9ussite scolaire des enfants de migrants par rapport aux autochtones. Finalement, la proc\u00e9dure de naturalisation en Suisse s\u2019av\u00e8re socialement s\u00e9lective: elle \u00e9cr\u00e8me syst\u00e9matiquement les rangs des enfants de migrants en les reclassant \u00e0 juste titre comme Suisses, rendant par l\u00e0 invisibles les r\u00e9sultats d\u2019une partie des jeunes issus de la migration. Dans ce contexte, la Commission Education et Migration (CEM) de la Conf\u00e9rence suisse des directeurs de l\u2019instruction publique (CDIP) entend contribuer \u00e0 rendre mieux visible la r\u00e9ussite des jeunes d\u2019origine immigr\u00e9e qui constitue un aspect m\u00e9connu de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des enfants de migrants. Pour atteindre cet objectif, la CEM a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de consacrer son Convegno d\u2019avril 2012 \u00e0 la situation des jeunes issus de la migration qui constituent un potentiel pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et l\u2019\u00e9conomie suisses, gr\u00e2ce notamment \u00e0 la formation qu\u2019ils ont pu acqu\u00e9rir dans leur pays d\u2019immigration. Elle a ainsi confi\u00e9 au Forum suisse pour l\u2019\u00e9tude des migrations et de la population (SFM) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Neuch\u00e2tel la r\u00e9daction d\u2019un document de base sur ce th\u00e8me. L\u2019\u00e9tude se fonde sur une notion de r\u00e9ussite qui se d\u00e9cline en termes de formation, tant g\u00e9n\u00e9rale que professionnelle, d\u2019activit\u00e9 entrepreneuriale ou d\u2019engagement civique associatif et\/ou politique. Elle fournit un aper\u00e7u de la litt\u00e9rature suisse et internationale sur les enfants de migrants r\u00e9ussissant leur parcours scolaire et professionnel.
